London, UK, September 4, 2020--An enigmatic title deserves explanation. The 69 countries referred to is the least number of nations we have had consistently dialing-in to recent webinars in the GVF’s Webinar Series, organized in association with Satellite Evolution Group. In my previous column I overviewed the series, which is broadcast over Zoom on alternate Thursdays, starting at 1500 hours/3.00pm (London). Singapore, July 9, 2020–AVIA had the privilege of hosting the first major online media conference of the year, the OTT Virtual Summit, with a record turnout of over 700 delegates. Opening the Summit this year was the Thought Leaders' panel, featuring a stellar line-up of senior executives from across the video landscape. The panel had optimism all round for the industry as a whole.

London, UK, July 2, 2020--With the retreat of the glaciers at the end of the last major ice age began the current (official) geological epoch – the Holocene. It is argued across the science community that the Holocene has, in reality, given way to the Anthropocene – the (proposed) new geological epoch dating from the beginnings of significant human impact on Earth’s geology and ecosystems, including, but not limited to, anthropogenic climate change.

London, UK, June 3, 2020--The Connecting Africa series of events team has been closely monitoring global developments, alongside those in East and West Africa. As the situation and impact of the coronavirus continues to develop, they have decided to move East Africa Com to a fully virtual event for 2020 on 14 - 15 September and West Africa Com to a fully virtual event for 2020 (30 September - 1 October), uniting the region’s Francophone and Anglophone TMT markets online.

Singapore, June 3, 2020–Informa Markets today announced that ConnecTechAsia - Asia’s leading Infocomm Media and Technology event organised in partnership with Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA),  will be held on a virtual platform during the same dates, 29 September to 1 October 2020. This shift to a virtual event is in response to the dynamic situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, where travel and physical restrictions are still in effect globally.
