Saturn Satellite Networks Announce Leadership Change

Los Angeles, Calif., December 8, 2020--Jim Simpson will transition from his current role as CEO of Saturn Satellite Networks (SSN) to a member of the Board of Saturn at the end of 2020. Thomas Choi the Executive Chairman will also assume the role of interim CEO/President of Saturn.

"For the past two years we have enormously benefitted from the vast experience and leadership of Jim Simpson in the role of CEO. We are indebted to him for his contributions and his excellent dedication to his role. Although we are sad to see him take on new challenges, we are happy that he will continue to guide the organization for future success as a member of the Board. We wish him the best success in his future endeavors," Said Choi.

“I am very excited to have brought Saturn Satellite Networks to the precipice in which our NationSat satellites are being awarded to solve the current and future problems for our traditional satellite owner/operators, Nations and New Space customers. It is a unique opportunity and challenge to create a product as a start-up that will be used to support mainstream and new space businesses, and I thank Tom and the entire Saturn Team for providing me the opportunity to lead the organization to do just that!” said Simpson.

SSN, a US Delaware Corporation and a subsidiary of Airspace Internet Exchange Inc., was established in 2017 to redefine the approach for building reliable GEO communications satellites to enable countries and operators to have affordable access to space communications. SSN has designed and developed the Nationsat, a small 4kW GEO communications satellite system that can provide requirements of a nation for video and data communications applications.
