At the Strategies in Satellite Ground Systems (SSGS) conference in London, this month, Martin Coleman, was given a Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing his “Outstanding Contribution to Combatting the Costly Problem of Satellite Radio Frequency Interference.”  As a largely unpaid volunteer, Martin has accomplished something that few others have been able to achieve.

Hispasat has appointed Manuel Sansegundo as the Group's new Technical Director. Sansegundo, who was previously responsible for the company's European IRIS2 secure communications program, has held various positions in Hispasat's technical department since joining in 1991. As Flight Segment Manager for the past 22 years, he has led the technical aspects of all the company's missions, including launch-related activities, satellite control centers, and flight dynamics.
