From today until 5 October, HISPAMAR -HISPASAT’s Brazilian satellite operator subsidiary- will present its satellite Ka band Internet solutions to the telecommunications market and to ISPs (Internet Service Providers) gathered in São Paulo, within the framework of Futurecom 2017, which is the ICT sector's largest event in Latin America.

Arabsat and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) today announced contracts for Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] to manufacture two A2100 communications satellites. In conjunction with the award, Lockheed Martin, KACST and TAQNIA Space Company, a subsidiary of the Saudi Technology Investment and Development Company (TAQNIA), signed an agreement to explore future design, manufacture, assembly and integration of satellites in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

At the 2015 NAB Show in Las Vegas, six leading satellite operators and manufacturers announced today the formation of the SAT>IP Alliance, formalising a coalition that was initiated last year to develop compatible hardware and software for the SAT>IP technology. The SAT>IP Alliance consists of SES, HISPASAT, Panasonic, NAGRA, ALi Corporation and MaxLinear.

The World Teleport Association today announced the winners of the 20th annual Teleport Awards for Excellence during an exclusive luncheon at Satellite 2015. C-COM Satellite Systems Inc., a provider of mobile auto-deploying satellite antenna systems, and ViaSat Inc.have signed an agreement to develop a low profile, Ka-band mobile antenna system for the emerging commercial Ka-band services market. C-COM will manufacture, sell and support this new on-the-move antenna product under ViaSat license.

C-COM sells its highly acclaimed Comm-On-The Pause auto-deploy iNetVu antennas worldwide and plans to use its existing distribution channel to commercialize the new Comm-On-The-Move mobile antenna.
