Spacecom announced today that it is developing a plan of action following the loss of the AMOS-6 communication satellite due to the explosion of SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket on the launch pad. The company has begun measures to recover funds invested in the project.

Satellite operator Asia Satellite Telecommunications Holdings Limited (‘AsiaSat’ – SEHK: 1135), today announced its 2016 interim results for the six months ended 30 June  2016. 1st Half 2016 revenue was HK$640 million, about the same as the prior period.

Contracts on hand as at June 30 2016 remained stable at around HK$3,543 million. the 1st Half 2016  profit attributable to owners of HK$ 249 million, relatively flat compared to the prior period.

Revenues rose 29% compared with Q1 2016.
