Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) today announced its agreement to acquire Envivio (NASDAQ:ENVI), by means of a tender offer for a price of US$ 4.10 per share in cash, or approximately US$ 125 million in the aggregate. The acquisition will strengthen Ericsson as a global innovator in enabling customers to deploy new technologies and agile video processing to innovate new services that engage TV consumers every day.

The competition is open to films produced in any country and in any genre (fiction, documentary, experimental, music video, institutional, etc.) with a maximum duration of 20 minutes, and shot and produced in 4K format.

Inmarsat (LSE:ISAT.L), has confirmed the successful launch of its third satellite in the transformational Global Xpress (GX) constellation. Inmarsat-5 F3 (I-5 F3), which was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 12.44pm (BST), entered orbit on August 29 at 04.15 am (BST) following a 15 hour and 31 minute mission.

Satellite communications service provider SpeedCast today announced strong half year 2015 results for the period of January through June 2015, demonstrating double digit year-on-year growth across all major P&L metrics.
Statutory revenues grew 32% to US$ 71.7 million. Compared with 1H 2014 pro forma revenue, which includes the full period impact of acquisitions completed in 2014, total revenue grew 23%, with core service revenues growing 32% over the same period.
