NXT Communications Corporation (NXTCOMM) announced today the appointment of Stephen Newell as its Chief Commercial Officer. Satellite operator Intelsat announced that Peter B. Davidson has joined the company as Vice President of Global Government Affairs and Policy. Panasonic Avionics Corporation  has announced the appointment of Joe Bentley as Chief Technology Officer. Bentley will be responsible for leading all aspects of the company’s software and systems engineering teams, cloud, hardware, and IT/security.

The Council of Europe’s operational satellite agency for weather and climate, EUMETSAT, has appointed Philip Evans as the organisation’s next Director-General for a five-year term, starting on January 1, 2021. Evans will take over the reins of the 30-Member-State organisation from Alain Ratier, who will retire at the end of 2020 after serving nine-and-a-half years as Director-General.

Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. (NASDAQ, TASE: GILT), announced that Yona Ovadia steps down as Gilat’s CEO effective immediately.
