NAGRA, a Kudelski Group (SIX:KUD.S) company and a provider of content protection and multiscreen television solutions, in partnership with MTM, a leading international research and strategy consultancy, today released the key findings of the U.S. edition of the 2019 Pay-TV Innovation Forum.

Communications & Power Industries LLC (CPI) has entered into an agreement to purchase SATCOM Technologies, the antenna systems business of General Dynamics Mission Systems, Inc., a business unit of General Dynamics.

Satellite operator Thaicom Public Company Limited (THCOM),announced its financial results for the second quarter ended 30 June 2019. Thaicom reported a decrease in net profit compared to the previous quarter and the same quarter of last year due to the recognition of several extra expenses.

Thaicom reported revenue from sales and services for Q2/2019 of US$39.5 million (THB 1,217 million) — down by 18.6% from Q2/2018 and down by 6.6% from Q1/2019 — as a result of reduced satellite utilization and special price adjustment for a major customer.

Netgem's board of directors released the company’s half-year financial statements on Wednesday highlighted by revenues of US$14.5 million (€13.1 million), a decline of 9.9% from the previous year’s first half, and a net revenue of US$7.42 million (€7.42 million), a decrease of 4.3% from the previous year. The company posted a net loss of US$2.66 million (€2.4 million) for the first half.

Satellite operator Intelsat S.A. (NYSE: I), reported total revenue of US $ 509.4 million for the three months ended June 30, 2019. But it also posted a net loss of US$ 529.7 million because of a US$ 381.6 million asset impairment charge incurred in the second quarter of 2019 for the total loss of Intelsat 29e satellite in April this year.

This translates to a quarterly loss of $1.05 per share and compares to loss of $0.38 per share a year ago. Yahoo Finance says the quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of -10.53%.

Hughes Network Systems, LLC has announced that PHSAT Telecom Solutions, Inc. (PHSAT), has chosen the Hughes' Jupiter System to enable Internet services for its small- to medium-enterprise (SME) customers. PHSAT, providing domestic and international telecommunication services to businesses throughout the Philippines, selected the Jupiter System to improve the efficiency and performance of satellite broadband services to its customer base while laying the foundation for future 4G implementations.

AMOS satellite fleet operator Spacecom has announced that the AMOS-17 satellite is in the final stages of its prelaunch preparation for its scheduled liftoff on August 3.

SES S.A. reported a slight decline in its first-half core profits for the six months ended 30 June 2019 but the company stuck with its guidance for 2019 and 2020  saying its performance is in line with SES’ expectations and continued growth in networks’ revenue.

LTN Global, a leader in broadcast-quality IP video transport solutions, has entered into an agreement to acquire Crystal, a provider of software that automates the monitoring, control, and metadata management of end-to-end broadcast and digital media operations. Together, LTN and Crystal will offer mission-critical ad insertion, digital watermarking, and other unique tools that will allow networks and digital platforms to monetize their content across a fully managed IP multicast network.
