Hunter Communications Canada announce that with the successful launch of the Eutelsat 115 West B satellite from Cape Canaveral on 1 March, a milestone has been reached for the provision of premium Ku-band bandwidth across Canada.
The Hunter Ku-Band beam on Eutelsat 115 West B will provide a variety of services that include broadband, cellular backhaul, and VSAT solutions for industries that include oil and gas markets of Alberta, mining sectors in Northern Canada and maritime use for commercial and military applications.

O3b Networks selected AvL Technologies to design and build the Transportable Terminal Antenna System for use with O3b’s Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) Satellite Network. The program calls for AvL to develop and manufacture the hardware and software for a family of earth station antennas with reflector sizes of 0.85m, 1.0m, 1.2m, 1.8m and 2.4m.
