ScheduALL has once again been selected to provide transmission and resource management to NBC Olympics, a division of the NBC Sports Group, during its production of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, from February 6-23. SatLink Communications, a global teleport, content management and HD playout services provider, has announced it has been extended its agreement with global channel, Fashion TV (FTV), for the global playout, content management and distribution of its HD and SD channels. As a part of the agreement, SatLink will distribute FTV’s content via satellite to Asia on AsiaSat3S, America on IS805 C-Band platform and to Europe on the new Hotbird DVB-S2 platform, which provides cost effective HD contribution to the Cable, Satellite and Pay TV Markets in the region.

Geneva, Switzerland, February 3, 2014-- Satellite communications specialist Newtec and the operator of the world’s largest satellite and fiber live video network, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), have signed a multimillion-euro contract. The deal is to deploy Newtec’s satellite broadcast solutions as part of the EBU’s major pan-European news exchange network.

Globecomm Systems, a leading global provider of managed network communication solutions, has announced a contract extension with Avanti to deploy satellite broadband services to thousands of businesses in South Africa.

 

Operating from Cape Town and Johannesburg, the international service provider will deploy Ka-band satellite connectivity to enterprise customers in RSA via Avanti’s HYLAS 2 satellite. The partnership will be based on the Hughes platform and will extend beyond South Africa later this year.
