ABS and Bluesky Pacific Group (Bluesky) have signed a multi-transponder contract on ABS-6. The multi-year capacity deal will offer expanded satellite connectivity services across the Samoan islands and the Pacific.

Globecast, the global solutions provider for media, has been chosen by Russian broadcaster Channel One to help them reach the European market (via HotBird) and Asia (via AsiaSat 5), extending its reach to new audiences. Globecast is providing dual illumination on HotBird with an MPEG-4 channel in addition to the existing MPEG-2 service it provides for the broadcaster.

ABS announced today at PTC 2016 that FSM Telecommunications Corporation (FSMTC) has extended its partnership with ABS for the ABS-6 satellite.   FSMTC has contracted additional capacity to provide connectivity to its neighbouring islands in the Micronesia states.   The contract follows shortly after the initial agreement in July 2015.
