Atheras Analytics SAS has appointed David Gibbons as CEO. As the company transitions from its start-up phase and moves into commercial delivery of its unique and highly innovative AI-based SaaS-delivered software tools, David will take charge of the go-to-market strategy and spearhead the commercial strategy of the business.
A veteran of the satellite and defence business, David was Global Space Sales Director at TERMA Group (formal Atos/Siemens) where he focused on forging new markets and business opportunities and was also Head of ESA Space Solutions Centre, Ireland and held senior positions at Magellan and Moog.
David brings a wealth of experience to the company that will enable it to break into new markets and attract commercial investment to boost opportunities across new sectors according to a company statement.
Atheras Analytics has developed a suite of AI-based, SaaS-delivered software tools that enable satellite operators to optimise the design and operation of their next-generation Ka-band and Q/V-band satellite networks for maximum network availability. The core of these tools is the AI-based Outage Prediction Algorithm (OPA) which employs advanced machine learning techniques, including neural networks, to train the OPA for multiple different operational scenarios.
