Third Annual Event Draws Top-level Industry and Financial Representatives 

Industry executives, analysts and portfolio investment managers will gather in New York City this October 14th for the 3rd  annual ISCe Satellite Investment Symposium (ISIS NYC ‘08) to share their insights and predictions about the financial strength and future growth of the satellite business.

Industry executives, analysts and portfolio investment managers will gather in New York City this October 14th for the 3rd  annual ISCe Satellite Investment Symposium (ISIS NYC ‘08) to share their insights and predictions about the financial strength and future growth of the satellite business.

Hannover Fairs USA, Inc., organizer of ISIS NYC ‘08 and the annual ISCe satellite conference and exhibition, will present an engaging one-day program with focused sessions and top-level speakers.  ISIS NYC ’08 will be held Tuesday, October 14, from 8 am to 5 pm at the 3 West Club (located at 51st and 5th Ave., near Rockefeller Center) and will be followed immediately by the SSPI Future Leaders Dinner. The engaging one-day program will kick-off with the morning keynote address by David Meltzer, Senior VP, American Red Cross International Services.  Mr. Meltzer, who is responsible for global disaster response operations as well as long term health programs in over 20 countries, will address the critical role of satellite communications and targeted technologies in meeting the needs of victims and post-disaster responders and aid workers. Mr. Meltzer’s speech will highlight the financial implications of satellites serving the public interest, and the recommended and related business and investment opportunities.

Mark Dankberg, Chairman & CEO, ViaSat, will provide the closing ISIS NYC ’08 keynote address.  ViaSat designs, produces and markets advanced digital satellite telecommunications and wireless signal processing equipment and solutions. The company has been named three times to the Inc. 500 list of fastest growing privately held companies and, most recently, ViaSat made Red Herring magazine's "Small Cap 100" list for 2005, recognized for its innovative technology and smart business models that nurture growth and profitability.

Additionally, after the tumultuous summer and early fall financial crises, a special “Analysts’ Spotlight on the Wall Street Meltdown” session has been added to the ISIS program.  A team of on-the-scene Wall Street analysts will share their views on the rapidly changing financial sector, where the markets are headed, and the implications for the satellite and telecom financial markets.
