Cellular Lines in the Arab World Slight Growth of 0.05% over 2015
Amman, Jordan, January 4, 2017--By end of the first quarter 2016, mobile operators in nineteen Arab countries had 414.736 million cellular lines, up from 414.544 million by yearend 2015; a growth of 0.05%. A new report from Arab Advisors Group analyzes and ranks cellular operators in the Arab World. Two of the cellular operators in Egypt; Vodafone and Orange were the largest Arab cellular operators in terms of subscriptions by end of March 2016.
Between November 2015 and November 2016, one MVNO launched its operations in the Arab World. Cellular subscribers in nineteen Arab countries reached 414.736 million by end of March 2016. Egypt’s Vodafone and Orange are the Arab World’s largest cellular operators by cellular lines.
