Advantech Wireless GaN based SapphireBlu Series Ku-Band SSPA receives certification from Brazilian Anatel Agency

Sao Paolo, Brazil, September 12, 2013 – Advantech Wireless Inc., a privately-held Canadian corporation and manufacturer of Satellite, RF Equipment and Microwave Systems, today announced that it’s GaN based SapphireBlu^TM Series of UltraLinearTM Ku-Band SSPA has received certification from the Brazilian National Telecommunication Agency (Anatel). 

The New SapphireBlu^TM Series of UltraLinear^TM GaN based amplifiers from Advantech Wireless can cover multiple transponders, full DVB-S2 enabled and can save 8 to 15 dB power compared to indoor Klystrons or linearized TWTs. This new architecture is designed for Multi Carrier operations, with power expandable to 3kW by phase combining and redundant ready and is ideal for DTH Broadcasting, High Data Rate Telecom Services and Deep Space Communication.
