Advantech Wireless Releases Second Generation 350W/500W CL-Band SapphireBlu GaN based SSPA/SSPB for Troposcatter Applications
Montreal, Canada, October 16, 2015 – Advantech Wireless, a global leader in Satellite broadband communications solutions, announced today the release of the Second Generation 350W/500W CL-Band SapphireBluTM GaN (Gallium Nitride) based SSPA/SSPB for Troposcatter (TROPO) Applications.
The new Advantech Wireless Super Compact TT Series SapphireBluTM SSPAs/ SSPBs provide the highest power density in the industry and operate over the Low C-band TROPO frequency of 4.4 – 5.0 GHz. These new Solid State Power Amplifiers are designed to be used, as direct replacement of older generation Klystrons or TWTs. Troposcatter (also known as tropospheric scatter) is a method of communicating with microwave signals reflecting from the atmosphere for robust communications links over very long distances.
