AvL Technologies Introducing 1.2m Ku-Band Low-Stow Mobile VSAT at OilComm2013

Asheville, NC, Nov. 1, 2013 – AvL Technologies will launch a new 1.2M Ku-Band Low-Stow Mobile VSAT Vehicle-Mount Antenna at OilComm 2013. The antenna features a new proprietary structural carbon fiber reflector, zero-backlash AvL Cable Drive, embedded auto-acquisition AvL AAQ controller, and level sensors for automatic vehicle tilt compensation and cross-pol alignment. 

This lightweight, robust antenna is a Hughes HX-certified antenna and is approved for use on the ViaSat network and a number of networks using iDirect technology.  The new 1.2M Ku-Band Low-Stow Mobile VSAT Vehicle-Mount Antenna was recently selected by a Fortune 500 oil company to enable the company to transmit real-time performance data from drill sites where equipment is being leased. The data is monitored by company engineers at a central location to ensure optimal drill site performance.
