Es’hailSat at IBC 2019, Showcasing Capabilities of Es’hail-1 and Es’hail-2, Key Broadcast Satellites for the MENA Region
Amsterdam, Netherlands, Sept. 13, 2019 — Es’hailSat is exhibiting at the annual IBC exhibition in Amsterdam, the leading platform for the broadcast, content delivery, digital media and satellite sectors across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia. Es’hailSat will be showcasing Es’hail-1, Es’hail-2 and a wide range of services to be delivered through the new state of the art teleport in Doha. Es’hail-1 and Es’hail-2 are currently transmitting high quality, premium DTH television content from the 25.5°/26° E hotspot.
Es’hail-2, a new high-performance satellite with sophisticated anti-jamming capabilities located at 26° East hotspot position for TV broadcasting, significantly adds to the company’s ability to provide high quality, premium DTH television content across the Middle East and North Africa.
Es’hailSat’s new teleport which became commercially operational in Q1 of 2019, provide customers with secure and independent satellite transmission. The facility supports satellite TT&C and capacity management together with a wide range of services such as uplink, downlink, multiplexing, encoding, playout and other value-added services. The high-tech teleport will also provide back-up studios for TV channels and serve as a disaster recovery facility for customers.

Based in Doha, Qatar, the company owns and operates satellites to serve broadcasters, telecommunications companies, businesses and governments. Es’hail-1, launched in 2013, provides television, telecommunication, corporate and government services across the Middle East and North Africa region. Es’hail-2, which was launched in November 2018 and commenced operations on March 2019, enhances the capacity needed to support growth. Es’hail-1 and Es’hail-2 are located at the 25.5°/26° E, TV broadcasting hotspot for MENA.
