Panasonic Corporation today announced that it has completed its acquisition of ITC Global, a leading provider of satellite communication services for the energy, mining, and maritime markets.
Founded in 2001 with regional headquarters in Houston, Texas; Sion, Switzerland; and Perth, Australia, ITC Global serves customers at more than 1,200 remote sites across 70 countries and all the world's oceans. Panasonic, through its subsidiary Panasonic Avionics Corporation, is a leading provider of inflight communications and entertainment systems to the aviation market.
ViaSat Inc. (NASDAQ: VSAT) announced financial results for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30, 2015. Fiscal first quarter Adjusted EBITDA grew nearly 30% year-over-year to US$ 77.5 million. Revenues grew to $344.4 million, up 8% from the prior year period.
"We're off to a good start in fiscal year 2016 as our focus on attractive bandwidth economics delivers results in multiple applications," said Mark Dankberg, ViaSat chairman and CEO.
EchoStar Corporation (NASDAQ: SATS) today reported total revenue of US$ 794 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2015 compared to US$ 880 million for the corresponding period in 2014. Net income attributable to EchoStar common stock was US$ 33.9 million and diluted earnings per share was $0.36 for the quarter ended June 30, 2015, compared with net income attributable to EchoStar common stock of US $33.8 million and diluted earnings per share of $0.36 during the corresponding period in 2014.
Inmarsat plc (LSE: ISAT.L) reported continued mobile satellite services business growth for the half year ended 30 June 2015. Total revenues were US$616.2 million (2014: US$ 652.3 million). Revenues from LightSquared was US $35.0 million (2014: US$ 47.1 million). Wholesale MSS revenues were US$ 403.8m, up +4.2% (2014: US$ 387.6 million).
Total EBITDA ws US$ 342.7 million (2014: US$ 369.7 million) and frofit after tax was US$ 131.6 million (2014: US$ 136.7 million).
Orbital ATK, Inc. (NYSE: OA) today announced both GAAP and adjusted financial results for the second calendar quarter ended July 5, 2015. Orbital ATK reported GAAP revenues of US$ 1,130 million for the second quarter of 2015 compared to US$ 714 million in the same quarter in 2014.
Rockwell Collins has acquired Newport News, Virginia-based International Communications Group (ICG), a leading provider of satellite-based global voice and data communication products and services for the aviation industry.
The initial purchase price was US$ 50 million and additional post-closing consideration of up to US$ 14 million may be paid.
KVH Industries, Inc., (Nasdaq: KVHI) reported financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2015 today. Overall revenues grew 10% to US$ 44.9 million (consensus $44.0 million), reflecting service growth of 35% (organic growth of 6%) and a 14.5% decline in hardware revenues (largely defense-related).
