New York City, February 5, 2014 – The Society of Satellite Professionals International (SSPI) announced today it will honor two government leaders with its annual Stellar Award for Government Service.  Maj. Gen. Martin Whelan, Director of Requirements, Headquarters Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, and Madelyn Creedon, Assistant Secretary for Global Strategic Affairs, U.S. Department of Defense, will be honored during the Stellar Reception prior to SSPI’s annual Gala Dinner on March 11, the opening night of the SATELLITE 2014 Conference, in Washington, DC.  The Stellar Awards honor service to the United States Government using satellites and satellite technology.

Ottawa, Canada, February 3, 2014--International Datacasting Corporation announced today that Del Lippert has resigned as a director of IDC and Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors for medical reasons, effective immediately. In addition, Georges Ata has resigned as a director of IDC in order to focus on his role as CEO of Intelcan, also effective immediately.

The SIA Board of Directors elected  Bill Weller of Space Systems/Loral (SSL) to serve as Chairman for the coming year, joined by  Stacy Fuller of DIRECTV, as Vice Chairman, and Jennifer Manner of EchoStar, as Treasurer.
