SATCOMRUS 2020 International Virtual Conference to be held on October 8
Moscow, Russia, October 1, 2020--The 25th anniversary international conference of operators and users of satellite communication networks of the Russian Federation "SАTCOMRUS 2020" will be held on October 8, 2020 online as a virtual event. The event is organized by Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC) and will be held online for the first time.
SATCOMRUS 2020 is one of the premier events of the satellite communications industry in Russia, Eastern Europe, and CIS region. The conference will be held with the official support of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of Russian Federation, Federal Agency of Communications and State Space Corporation (ROSCOSMOS).
The main theme of SATCOMRUS 2020 is "Satellite Industry Strategy 2030: Invest Program Criteria". The conference is intended to consider trends in the advancement of digital technologies and the transformation of the satellite industry under the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is also planned to discuss the future of telecom under the current realities and the development of 5G-based services, talk about the issues of the broadcast and media industries, as well as the specifics of building queuing networks.
The conference agenda includes four sessions:
• Plenary session. Digital technology development trends and satellite industry transformation.
• Session 2. Digital wars. Battle for bandwidth: satellite operators vs. 5G operators. Who wins and why? Impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the balance of power in the telecom industry
• Session 3. Global reload of broadcast and media industry.
• Session 4. Trends in the development of satellite mass service networks.
Domestic and foreign satellite communications operators, TV and radio companies and broadcasters, system integrators, leading manufacturers of communications satellites and telecom equipment, representatives of financial institutions and insurance companies, analysts from major Russian and international agencies, and journalists, too, are all expected to traditionally participate in SATCOMRUS 2020.
