Smartphones constitute 21.5% of Total Cellular Handsets in Morocco

Amman, Jordan, May 9, 2013--A new Arab Advisors Group’s survey of cellular users in Morocco reveals insightful details on the Smartphones adoption and usage patterns. Morocco Cellular and Smartphone Survey follows the six Smartphone survey reports concluded in Egypt, Lebanon, Kuwait, Jordan, the UAE and Saudi Arabia

The Arab Advisors Group concluded a ground breaking survey of cellular users in Morocco probing Smartphones adoption and usage. The survey revealed that 52.8% of Moroccan Smartphone users use applications. Of these respondents, 54.1% prefer applications in the French language.

A new major cellular phone survey of cellular users in Morocco was conducted by the Arab Advisors Group. The survey report, “Morocco Cellular and Smartphone Survey 2013” was released on April 30, 2013. The report covered several areas including: General cellular usage habits, Smartphone adoption and usage patterns, Smartphone awareness, cellular handset brands and models in addition to availability of tablets, satellite TV, pay TV, fixed line and Internet connection at home among respondents. The report has 67 pages and 72 exhibits.

Respondents were randomly called through a randomly generated table of cellular phone numbers for each of the three cellular operators in Morocca: Maroc Telecom, Meditel and Wana. The survey results encompass answers from 750 cellular users that passed rigorous quality control checks conducted by the Arab Advisors Group’s team. The survey yields a confidence level of 99% with a margin of error of less than 5%.
