Digisoft.tv Hires New Global Head of Sales & Marketing
Cork, Ireland, Nov. 22, 2013--Werbayne McIntyre has joined Digisoft.tv, a global provider of HTML5 set-top box (STB) software, as Global Head of Sales & Marketing. He leaves his role at Piksel, formally KIT Digital, where he was SVP of Global Marketing.
McIntyre is a marketing professional with over 25 years' experience in shaping sales and marketing strategies to support the commercial development of numerous companies internationally. He is also an OBE, having received the award from the Her Majesty the Queen for outstanding services for the DWP's (Department of Work & Pensions) National Employment Panel.
The company, which recently won a multi-million dollar VOD contract in South Africa, is currently planning for growth. As part of expansion plan, Digisoft.tv has enveloped two affiliated multi-device education companies, with TVTextbook now becoming part of Digisoft.tv.
“Our aim is to become the most innovative middleware supplier in the Entertainment, Education and Information market,” said Fearghal Kelly, CEO. He said Werbayne brings a lot of commercial experience, passion and strategic vision that will help the company to steer a clear path as it continues to grow.
As part of the reorganization John Casey has taken on the role of Education Product Director. John joined Digisoft.tv in 2009 and has a background is in software engineering with a focus on cellular network management and mobile application development.
