                  Ray Vilar

Vilar brings 17 years’ worth of business development experience from well-regarded and relevant companies; he has held senior positions at Alcatel Lucent, EMS Aviation and Honeywell Aerospace. He has joined Inmarsat from Gogo Inc., where he held the post of Regional Sales Director, Latin America.

“Ray’s credentials make him an excellent candidate to lead Inmarsat Aviation’s efforts in Latin America,” said Leo Mondale, President, Inmarsat Aviation. “Ray has an in-depth understanding of avionics which is complemented by a solid foundation in telecommunications. These, plus his extensive business experience in Latin America make Ray an exciting addition to our senior aviation team.”

Inmarsat is establishing itself as the leading provider of satellite communications in Latin America.

Vilar holds a B.S. Systems Engineering degree from the US Naval Academy and a Masters Business Administration in Technology Management. Ray is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
