Tele2 Appoints Torkel Sigurd as EVP Corporate Affairs

​Stockholm, Sweden, September 1, 2021 –Tele2 AB (“Tele2”) (Nasdaq Stockholm: TEL2 A and TEL2 B) appoints of Torkel Sigurd as new Executive Vice President Corporate Affairs and member of the Group Leadership Team.

Sigurd has 20 years of experience within telecom and has been part of the Tele2 family for 14 years. Most notably, Torkel has led Tele2’s M&A unit during the company’s international consolidation the last few years. He also has experience from leading a number of commercial and product related functions.

Torkel assumes the role of Executive Vice President Corporate Affairs starting  September 1,  2021 and becomes a member of the Group Leadership Team, reporting to CEO Kjell Johnsen. Tele2’s Corporate Affairs unit encompasses several functions, including the Legal, M&A and Strategy divisions.
