Asheville, NC, October 28, 2026--AvL Technologies announced that it has achieved Final Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification CMMC) Level 2 certification through a Certified Third-Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO). The certification demonstrates AvL's commitment to protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and meeting the cybersecurity expectations of the U.S. defense industrial base.
CMMC Level 2 certification confirms that an independent, government-authorized assessor has verified AvL's implementation of the security requirements in NIST SP 800-171, the standard for protecting CUI across the Department of Defense supply chain. A Final certification reflects a completed assessment with every requirement met. AvL supports the standard with a dedicated secure environment and dedicated hardware for personnel who handle CUI, along with specialized training in the proper handling, storage and transfer of that information.
