Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Signs a US$6.0 Million Purchase Agreement for High-Power Amplifiers
Melville, NY, October 8, 2014--Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq:CMTL) announced today that its New York-based subsidiary, Comtech PST Corp., signed a Purchase Agreement valued at $6.0 million and received multiple orders pursuant to the Agreement totaling approximately $3.7 million from a major domestic OEM to supply solid-state high-power amplifiers. The balance of orders under the agreement are expected to be received over the next fifteen months.
These amplifiers are key components in a complex Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) system used to interrogate aircraft to determine their friend or foe status. This order supplements an installed base of Comtech IFF solid-state high-power amplifiers previously delivered to this customer.
