INTEGRASYS releases the first Multi-Vendor DIFI Signal Analysys Virtualized System

Herndon, Va.--October 21, 2024 – RF Signal Monitoring manufacturer, Integrasys has evolved its monitoring systems to support Digital IF over IP standard, based on Vita 49.2. This deployment enhances interoperability across different satellite communication systems and vendors. Previously tested on modems and hubs, this is the first time DIFI support has been fully integrated into signal processing hardware. Now, Integrasys has accomplished full compatibility with all DIFI enabled digitizers, including Kratos, Calian, ETL, and Keysight, becoming the first multi-vendor virtualized signal monitoring system. This will be demonstrated at IEEE MILCOM DIFI Consortium Workshop at the Integrasys table.

One of the many advantages of DIFI is its ability to perform real-time or post-event signal analysis, which is useful and ideal for in-depth threat characterization when needed. Integrasys has supported multiple DoD and MoD in solving threats and RF challenges, and DIFI is one of the many initiatives that contributes to these solutions.

Today, with advanced signal monitoring, we can virtualize the teleport from the digitizer to any application that was traditionally handled in hardware at legacy teleports. This means the Controlsat monitoring system and the Vectorsat’s signal characterization and under-carrier measurement capabilities can now be accessed anywhere, at any time, whether on-premises or in the public/private cloud, using only a DIFI data stream.

This development was done with the support of the DIFI Consortium, the Luxembourg Space Agency, and the Lux Innovation project known as Virsat, which aims the full virtualization of teleports. The success of this initiative has addressed the industry’s need for a multi-vendor, DIFI-compliant platform capable of virtualizing signal analysis and spectrum monitoring functions among others.

Alvaro Sanchez, CEO of Integrasys, stated: “We are very proud to announce the enhancement of our pioneering solutions Controlsat and Vectorsat, to achieve Multi- Vendor DIFI compliance.”

Controlsat and Vectorsat have been trusted systems for over 30 years and have recently been upgraded to support the increasing virtualization of SatCom. These systems are now the first to offer DIFI-compliant signal monitoring, making them suitable for today’s and future teleports. With this major upgrade, they bring unprecedented flexibility and agility, aligning with the latest industry standards and trends. Additionally, they open the door to system-as-a-service offerings, transforming how operators monitor and manage RF signals across satellite networks.

Controlsat: Carrier Monitoring

Considered as the fastest carrier and spectrum monitoring system on the market, Controlsat is fully integrated with Beam Budget and FlexCap, enabling real-time monitoring of RF, RX, and TX signals from up to ten remote sites simultaneously. It provides the operators with a comprehensive view of both RF and spectrum data, allowing with its powerful monitoring capabilities for the quick detection, identification, and resolution of potential issues. This capability reduces downtime and enhances overall system performance.

Vectorsat: Carrier Under Carrier Monitoring

Vectorsat stands out in the market as the fastest and most reliable tool for detecting and analyzing interference signals. Powered by Controlsat CMS, it is specifically designed to identify and resolve Carrier Under Carrier Interference, offering fully automated spectrum monitoring that ensures the highest quality of service while reducing OPEX. By detecting and recording interferences in real-time, Vectorsat provides operators with seamless performance for efficient responses.

Controlsat and Vectorsat bridge the gap between various vendor systems and ensure full DIFI compliance, enabling seamless orchestrated monitoring, real-time RF signal analysis and spectrum monitoring across different networks. With DIFI compliance at the core of both solutions, users can now integrate and monitor their satellite networks without concerns about system compatibility, leveraging cutting- edge technology to reduce operational expenses and improve overall network performance. This marks a significant milestone in providing reliable and cost- effective monitoring solutions that streamline communication management.

With Controlsat and Vectorsat becoming the first DIFI Monitoring Systems on the market, Integrasys sets a new benchmark for the industry, allowing operators to fully optimize their network operations through improved interoperability, real-time data monitoring, and fully automated systems being able to exchange digitizers as become available as well as orchestrating new sensors in everyday more congested and contested space environment.

Integrasys will be showcasing Controlsat and Vectorsat DIFI monitoring system at the IEEE MILCOM DIFI Consortium Workshop Integrasys demo table.
