Tempe, Ariz., June 10, 2020--Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (NASDAQ: CMTL) announced today that during its fourth quarter of fiscal 2020, its Tempe, Arizona-based subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp., which is part of Comtech's Commercial Solutions segment, received a US$ 1.1 million order for satellite ground station equipment from a South East Asia Ministry of Defense. This initial order of SCPC modems and complementary redundancy switches is part of a network upgrade which could expand to more than 2,000 units.

The new modem is now fully compatible with all C-COM antenna systems using OpenAMIP interface.

Mexico City, June 4, 2020--HISPASAT, the Spanish telecommunications satellite operator, has reached an agreement with Altán La Red Compartida, the shared telecommunications network in Mexico, in order to provide transmission services to expand its mobile network. The Amazonas 5 satellite will provide Altán Ka band satellite links to connect 65 new base stations of its La Red Compartida.

Tempe, Ariz., May 28, 2020--Comtech EF Data Corp. received a US$ 1.7 million order for engineering services from Hughes Network Systems, LLC to support the Data Link Modernization (“DLM”) contract by providing new advanced satellite communications systems for the U.S. Army’s MQ-1C Gray Eagle Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS). Additional orders are expected in future periods.

Tempe, Ariz., May 27, 2020--Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (NASDAQ: CMTL) announced today that during its third quarter of fiscal 2020, its Tempe, Arizona-based subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp., which is part of Comtech’s Commercial Solutions segment, received a US$ 4.7 million contract for engineering services from a large prime U.S. Department of Defense contractor to support a critical Air Force and Army Anti-jam Modem (A3M) program under the U.S. Space Force’s Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC).

The first phase of the project includes the installation of 50 new WiFi satellite hotspots in Brazil, powered by Facebook Connectivity’s Express WiFi platform. This will enable EasyTV to provide practical and reliable high speed internet access using coverage in the Ka band of HISPASAT's Amazonas 5 satellite.

Tel Aviv, Israel, May 12, 2020–Spacecom (Tel Aviv Stock Exchange: SCC), operator of the AMOS satellite fleet, and Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (NASDAQ: CMTL) today announced the successful demonstration of a 1.3 Gbps link using Comtech EF Data’s CDM-760 Advanced High-Speed Trunking and Broadcast Modems operating over AMOS-17 C-band HTS payload. The exceptionally high throughput of 1.3 Gbps on a single link was established between two Telemedia facilities over AMOS-17’s C-band spot beam using a single CDM-760 modem per facility. Telemedia is a leading provider of broadcast and teleport services in South Africa.
