Singapore, July 28, 2020 – ConnecTechAsia - Asia’s leading Infocomm Media and Technology event organised in partnership with Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA),  announces the launch of the first-ever CommunicAsia Awards to be held on 30 Sept at this year’s virtual event.

Singapore, July 9, 2020–AVIA had the privilege of hosting the first major online media conference of the year, the OTT Virtual Summit, with a record turnout of over 700 delegates. Opening the Summit this year was the Thought Leaders' panel, featuring a stellar line-up of senior executives from across the video landscape. The panel had optimism all round for the industry as a whole.

London, UK, July 2, 2020--With the retreat of the glaciers at the end of the last major ice age began the current (official) geological epoch – the Holocene. It is argued across the science community that the Holocene has, in reality, given way to the Anthropocene – the (proposed) new geological epoch dating from the beginnings of significant human impact on Earth’s geology and ecosystems, including, but not limited to, anthropogenic climate change.

Singapore, June 3, 2020–Informa Markets today announced that ConnecTechAsia - Asia’s leading Infocomm Media and Technology event organised in partnership with Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA),  will be held on a virtual platform during the same dates, 29 September to 1 October 2020. This shift to a virtual event is in response to the dynamic situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, where travel and physical restrictions are still in effect globally. 

Amsterdam, the Netherlands, May 18, 2020--IBC2020 has been cancelled due to concerns for exhibitor and attendee safety and the ability to deliver an event of the quality expected of IBC. IBC2020 was due to take place 11-14 September in Amsterdam, but with many countries in Europe still in lockdown, IBC chief executive Michael Crimp said there were “many unknowns.”

Paris, France, April 28, 2020--Euroconsult announched that the World Satelltie Business Week (WSBW) has been rescheduled to November 9-12, 2020.  Original shceduled to be held in Paris in September, the organizers cited the "ongoing related dynamics" as a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic as one the reasons for the postponement.
