Viaccess-Orca Acquires BigHill to Strengthen Mobile Video Portfolio

Paris, France, Jan. 17, 2017—Viaccess-Orca announced today that it has acquired BigHill, a Finland-based software company that specializes in developing mobile apps for TV content. An agreement between the two companies was reached in December 2016. Adding a mobile TV app solution to its rich product and solutions portfolio will allow Viaccess-Orca to offer content providers an end-to-end solution for a rich and immersive content experience on any device.

VITEC Acquires Stake In Anevia's Share Capital

Chatillon, France, Jan. 11, 2017—VITEC, a provider of  advanced video encoding and streaming solutions, today announced it has become a shareholder of Anevia, a provider of OTT and IPTV software for the delivery of live TV and video on demand (VOD). VITEC now owns 8 percent of Anevia's share capital through an over-the-counter transaction of a block of shares.

Media Entrepreneurs Acquire NETIA from Globecast

Spacecom to Recover Funds and Implement Plan to Procure New Satellite to Replace Amos-6

Tel Aviv, Israel, September 5, 2016--Spacecom announced today that it is developing a plan of action following the loss of the AMOS-6 communication satellite due to the explosion of SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket on the launch pad. The company has begun measures to recover funds invested in the project.

Gilat Reports Increased Revenues; Decresed Losses in 2Q 2016

Petah Tikva, Israel, Aug. 10, 2016--Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. (NASDAQ:GILT) (TASE:GILT), a worldwide leader in satellite networking technology, solutions and services, today reported its results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2016. Revenues for Q2 2016 increased 53% to US$  67.9 million from US$ 44.3 million in the comparable period of 2015. Revenues rose 29% compared with Q1 2016.
