Kourou, French Guiana, March 9, 2016 –The successful lift-off of the Ariane rocket carrying the EUTELSAT 65 West A satellite into space lit up the night sky today in Kourou, French Guiana. The Ariane launcher ferrying Eutelsat’s newest satellite into space took off on 9 March at 02.20 (05.20 UTC) and delivered EUTELSAT 65 West A into its transfer orbit after a 27-minute flight.

Eutelsat Net Income Increase 17% in 1st Half 2015-16

Paris, France, February 17,  2016 – The Board of Directors of Eutelsat Communications (ISIN: FR0010221234 – NYSE Euronext Paris: ETL) reviewed the financial results for the half-year ended 31 December 2015.  First Half revenues were €774 million, up 1.5% on a like-for-like basis.1 Net attributable income was  €188 million, up 17.0%; net margin of 24%.
