The SATELLITE Conference & Exhibition Announces Keynote Speakers
Rockville, MD – February 6, 2025 – The SATELLITE Conference & Exhibition, the premier global gathering of the space and satellite industry, introduced its keynote speakers for SATELLITE 2025 and the new GovMilSpace 2025. The events will take place during SATELLITE Week, which runs from March 10-13, 2025, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
SES CEO Adel Al-Saleh headlines the Opening Day Luncheon, Telesat CEO Daniel Goldberg will speak at the Opening General Session, and Vice Admiral Frank Whitworth opens GovMilSpace

Keynote speaker Adel Al-Saleh, Chief Executive Officer for SES, kicks off the SATELLITE 2025 conference at the Opening Day Luncheon, sponsored by MDA Space. With more than 30 years of experience in senior management roles at leading IT and telecommunication companies, Al-Saleh was appointed CEO of SES in February 2024. He will discuss the future of satellite connectivity, the merger agreement with Intelsat, and the legacy of SES in its mission to connect the world. The presentation will open with a welcome from MDA Space CEO Mike Greenley, which begins Monday, March 10 at 12:00 p.m.
This year's Opening General Session keynote speaker is Telesat Chief Executive Officer Daniel Goldberg. The current Chairman of the Board for the Global Satellite Operators Association (GSOA) and Telesat CEO since 2006, Goldberg sits down with special guest moderator and SATELLITE 2025 emcee Sarah Cruddas to discuss the latest developments for the global operator's new LEO constellation, Lightspeed. The conversation starts at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11 in Ballroom A/B.
As GovMilSpace 2025 debuts, its speaker lineup, developed in partnership with Defense Daily and the Satellite Industry Association (SIA), features leading voices in defense, security, and space. The panel conversations highlight topics crucial for government and military satellite and space service providers and end-users.
The exclusive GovMilSpace Breakfast features keynote speaker Vice Admiral Frank Whitworth, the eighth Director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. Since 2022, he has led and directed NGA under the authorities of the Secretary of Defense and Director of National Intelligence. The session, which opens the day on Monday, March 10 at 8:00 a.m. in Room 146 B/C, includes an insightful discussion to forge collaborations and drive the future of space technology.
Two notable space officials are also among the session speakers at GovMilSpace 2025. Paula Trimble, Policy Director at the Space Development Agency, will join the panel on "Enabling Resiliency in SDA's Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture" on Monday, March 10 at 9:30 a.m. And on Wednesday, March 12 at 1:45 p.m., Lieutenant Commander Kyle Devries, Maritime Space Officer with the U.S. Navy, will be a panelist on the session, "Why the DoD Needs Intelligent Networks with Automated Orchestration for Critical Communications."
