WEST 2014 Annouces Speaker Line up and New Exhibition Features
San Diego, Calif., August 9, 2013--WEST 2014 continues to take shape and is on track to be an outstanding success. Since WEST is the largest Sea Services event on the West Coast- with a focus on the Pacific region, a priority region for the DoD, significant participation from the Navy, and other services in the San Diego area is expected.
Confirmed Speakers include:
- Gen James F. Amos, USMC, Commandant of the Marine Corps
- ADM Jonathan W. Greenert, USN, Chief of Naval Operations
- ADM Robert J. Papp, Jr., USCG,Commandant, U.S. Coast Guard
- VADM Harry B. Harris, Jr. USN, Assistant to the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff and nominated Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet
- The Honorable Richard Danzig, Former Secretary of the Navy, and Director, Center for a New American Security
- ADM James G. Stavridis, USN, (Ret.), Former U.S. Navy Supreme Allied Commander, Europe

The Navy will release more than US$8 Billion in business opportunities in the San Diego region by December 2014. More than 150,000 military and civilian government personnel are within 35 miles of San Diego. (source: San Diego Economic Development Corporation). This makes WEST a must attend event.
For 2014, the U.S. Naval Institute and AFCEA have re-engineered the exhibit floor plan to build traffic and further encourage engagement with exhibitors. The exhibit hall includes:
