Washington, D.C., January 26, 2021--HISPASAT, the Spanish satellite telecommunications operator, has signed a multi-year and multi-transponder agreement with Gilat Satellite Networks, to renew and expand the contracted satellite capacity to extend the mobile networks in the United States using Amazonas 2 and 3 satellites located in the 61º West orbital position. As part of this agreement HISPASAT will connect hundreds of base stations of Gilat’s strategic customers, including several mobile operators. 

Madrid, Spain, January 18, 2021--HISPASAT, Red Eléctrica Group’s Spanish telecommunication satellite operator, has renewed its agreement with Fundación ATRESMEDIA once again this year to collaborate in providing a satellite broadcast of the FAN3 television channel, dedicated to hospitalised children. This initiative forms part of the Foundation's Humanising Children's Hospital Program.

Barcelona, Spain, December 21, 2020--HISPASAT, the Spanish satellite telecommunications operator, and the Gran Teatre del Liceu Foundation have signed a renewal agreement today in Barcelona to broadcast three operas live via satellite, both in Spain as well as abroad. Mexico City, Mexico, December 16, 2020--Building upon an earlier agreement reached in the middle of the year, HISPASAT, the Spanish satellite telecommunications operator, has finalized a new agreement with Altán in Mexico to significantly increase the cellular backhaul services to expand its cellular network. This way, the Amazonas 5 satellite will provide Altán coverage in the Ka-band to connect 665 new base stations from its Red Compartida which are added to the 65 stations in the original proposal. All told these stations provide a total of approximately 4 Gbps of satellite connectivity. Thanks to this increase, that will take place between 2021 and 2023, the company expects to provide services to more than 3 million people who will benefit from the 4.5G LTE coverage that Altán’s Red Compartida provides.

Holzkirchen, Germany, December 14, 2020 — WORK Microwave, a leading European manufacturer of advanced satellite communications equipment, today announced that it has delivered the first set of Ka-band up- and downconverters to the European Space Agency's (ESA) European Space Operations Center for deep space antennas.
