Baikonour, Kazakhstan, October 21, 2014--the Russian communications and broadcasting satellite Express-AM6 was launched into orbit today by a  Proton-M rocket booster  from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 19.09 (Moscow time). The new Express-AM6 heavy-class space vehicle will be deployed into geostationary orbit at 53 ° East, from where it will provide coverage of European Russia, the Urals and Western Siberia as well as the Middle East, Europe and Africa.

Singapore, September 25, 2014 — Globecast today announced that it has been selected by Scripps Networks Interactive to provide distribution, playout, content preparation and select post production services for the company’s portfolio of networks across Asia-Pacific. Scripps Networks owns and operates four channels across the region including Asian Food Channel, Food Network, Travel Channel and HGTV, which will launch at the end of the year. 

Nonthaburi, Thailand, September 23,  2014 - The first flight to use Thaicom’s new satellite-based In-Flight Connectivity (IFC) service in Asia-Pacific took off from Bangkok Don Mueang International Airport today. The service, which uses Ku-band and is now fully operational, provides broadband on commercial flights for Thailand’s number one premium low cost airline, Nok Air.
