Commercial sector expected to realize significant portion of future IMINT demand

Paris, France April 25, 2013 – According to Euroconsult's newly released research report "Earth Observation: Defense and Security," demand for data to support imagery intelligence (IMINT) continues to grow globally to support defense activities and military operations. However, as a result of the relatively high cost to maintain and launch EO defense satellites and the investment required to fund R&D, only 11 countries have developed EO defense capacity dedicated to supporting IMINT.

18 Million DVB-T2 STBs Expected in 2015 to Help Satisfy Next Digital Transition Milestone

Scottsdale, Ariz., April 24, 2013--At the end 2012, North America and Western Europe had effectively made the transition to digital terrestrial television (DTT) broadcasts. The next milestone year (2015) was established by the ITU and a number of countries in Eastern Europe and Middle-East Africa are hoping to satisfy this goal. Amsterdam, The Netherlands, April 19, 2013-Parks Associates research finds over 70% of pay-TV subscribers in Western Europe are able to receive a TV Everywhere/multiscreen service. In Eastern Europe, multiscreen availability topped 25% of pay-TV households in early 2013. However, ARPU remains low, pushing many operators to test new business models such as  pricing.
