This is the consensus from a major industry poll conducted as part of FlightPlan: Charting a Course into the Future, an online broadcast by Inmarsat and the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX). Despite bracing for a slow recovery, the poll reveals a sense of optimism for the industry’s future, with digitisation expected to drive the return to profitable growth.

Jakarta, Indonesia, July 15, 2020 – A new study of the online content viewing behaviour of Indonesian consumers, has found a massive 55% reduction in consumers accessing piracy websites over the past ten months. The survey commissioned by the Asia Video Industry Association’s Coalition Against Piracy (CAP) and conducted by YouGov, found that 28% of online consumers currently use piracy streaming websites or torrent sites to access pirated content, far less than the 63% from a similar survey conducted in September 2019.

The study on TV reception also shows an increase in SES reach from 33 million African households in 2018 to 35 million households in 2019.
